Tesla has temporarily halted deliveries of its much-anticipated Cybertruck due to a reported issue with the windshield wiper motor, leaving some buyers waiting longer than expected. Although Tesla has not made an official announcement or issued a recall, multiple sources from the Cybertruck Owners Club forum and Reddit have shared that their scheduled deliveries were postponed.
The pause in deliveries comes after several new owners reported that the Cybertruck’s windshield wiper failed, with some experiencing problems almost immediately after receiving their vehicles. This isn’t the first delivery interruption for the Cybertruck; earlier this spring, Tesla had to recall approximately 3,878 vehicles over concerns that the accelerator pedal could become stuck. That issue was swiftly addressed by installing a new rivet, allowing deliveries to resume shortly thereafter.
As of now, affected customers have been informed that their pickup dates have been delayed by a week as Tesla works to resolve the windshield wiper motor issue. This situation underscores the challenges of rolling out a new vehicle model, especially one as innovative and eagerly awaited as the Cybertruck.
Tesla is currently managing a minor setback with the Cybertruck, focusing on ensuring that all vehicles meet safety standards before reaching customers. This precaution reflects the company’s commitment to quality and safety, despite the frustration of delivery delays for eager buyers.
