Making immense strides in her athletic career, Tiffany Reyes sets the tone of her own life as a 14 year old basketball prodigy. Born and raised in the Philippines, from as early as three years old, Tiffany could be found watching her father play professional basketball, absorbing the fundamentals of the game and learning the rigor of the sport. Raised in an environment where athletics were a way of fulfilling the soul, Tiffany’s passion for basketball was nurtured from the very start of her life.
The teen is a long-range threat with a shooting accuracy that extends well beyond the arc, making her a dangerous weapon from deeper on the court. Her diverse skill set indicates that Tiffany is not confined to one role on the court – she sees the vision of the outcome, and plays for the legacy of her name.
While Tiffany’s father, Jayr Reyes played basketball for The University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, her mother, Jennifer Anne Ablan-Reyes played volleyball for UP. Being surrounded by her disciplined and supportive athletic family helped foster her natural skills for the sport, preparing her for the amazing trajectory her career has taken in modern day. Around the world, Tiffany has made a positive impact on her community by encouraging other teens to discover their power.
In May 2024, Reyes broke historic records when she was inaugurated into the Gilas Pilipinas Women’s U18 National Team. And though the teen-athlete was the youngest player on the storied roster, her athletic performance at The SEABA Qualifiers for the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup in Thailand, left jaws on the ground. Between the intense dribbling moments and extraordinary free-throws, Tiffany played a key role in securing her team’s defense, hustling and scoring at the speed of the electrifying game.
During the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup game against Indonesia, Tiffany demonstrated her defensive prowess and hustle, hitting multiple three-pointers, finishing as the team’s second-highest scorer with 9 points.
Reyes never fails to demonstrate her intuitive and logical strategies on the court. She is always two steps ahead while dribbling, though still remaining capable of picking up on passes and plays before they even happen.
She is a complete natural when it comes to executing her shots and puts her best foot forward in the game and while practicing in the United States with Coach Dante Harlan; The Player Development Director at 3rd Eye Basketball. Tiffany is perfecting her decision-making and competitive strategy to develop her point guard, peripheral vision.
Already competing at the highest levels in local, regional, and international competitions, Tiffany Reyes is set to become one of the future stars of professional basketball. Colleges from all over world have been in contact with Reyes and her family as they prepare for her emergence onto the global stage, after she graduates high school.
